CURRENT TROPICAL CYCLONES
Tropical Cyclone 06W…is located approximately 210 NM southeast of Andersen AFB
Eastern North Pacific
Central North Pacific
Tropical Cyclone 06W

Sustained 30 knot winds…with gusts to 40 knots (as of Warning Number 1)
Here’s what the
computer models are showing
According to the JTWC, satellite imagery shows a partially exposed low level circulation center with deep convective bursts over the center and persistent convective banding displaced over the eastern and northern semicircles.
The upper-level environment is marginally favorable due to the weak poleward outflow into a narrow, weak
low positioned to the north. This is offset somewhat by warm sea surface temperatures and low wind shear.
Due to the weak outflow and formative low-level convective structure, the system will intensify slowly as it approaches Guam, with a slight increase in intensity to 35 knots by 24 hours, then gradual intensification to a peak of 45 knots by 72 hours, thereafter the system will weaken due to increasing northerly wind shear
