Special Tropical Weather Outlook issued to discuss the potential for tropical or subtropical development off the east coast of Florida.

Later in the weekend and early in the new week, the system is expected to move generally northeastward over the western Atlantic east of the Carolina’s. Regardless of development, the disturbance will continue to bring heavy rainfall and gusty winds across portions of southeastern Florida and the northwestern Bahamas through Saturday.
In addition, hazardous marine conditions will continue off the Florida east coast and in the Bahamas, where Gale Warnings are currently in effect. Dangerous surf conditions and rip currents are also possible along portions of the southeast U.S. coast this weekend and early in the new week.
An Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft is scheduled to investigate the disturbance.
