Special Tropical Weather Outlook issued to discuss the potential for subtropical development this weekend northeast of the Bahamas.
1.) A broad area of low pressure is expected to develop in a couple of days near or just north of the Bahamas.
Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development of this system, and a subtropical depression or storm is likely to form this weekend.
The system is expected to move generally northeastward over the western Atlantic through early next week.
The next Special Tropical Weather Outlook on this system will be issued by 9 AM EDT Thursday, or earlier, if necessary.
