CURRENT TROPICAL CYCLONES:
There are no active tropical cyclones at the time of this writing
Off the coast of southwest Mexico:
According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC)…shower activity associated with a broad low pressure area located a couple hundred miles southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec has become a little better organized since yesterday.
Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for continued gradual development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form early next week while the system meanders off the southwestern coast of Mexico.

* Formation chance through 5 days…high…80 percent

Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days in the Central Pacific Ocean.
