There’s a tropical disturbance being referred to as Invest 95S…which is located approximately 307 NM east of Christmas Island
According to the JTWC…satellite imagery shows some convection overhead a partially exposed low level circulation.
Environmental analysis indicates marginal conditions for development with robust outflow aloft and warm sea surface temperatures…offset by high (30-35 knot) vertical wind shear.
Global models continue to agree that invest 95S will have little development as it tracks south-southeastward over the next 24-48 hours.
Maximum sustained surface winds are estimated at 25 to 30 knots.
The potential for the development of a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours remains high.
