Anticipate hazard impacts with event brief
| Event Brief provides expanded, life-saving information to support rapid decision-making and response during major hazards with potentially devastating impacts—such as population exposure, impacts to lifelines, and mass care needs. It helps anticipate hazard impacts and answers key questions like: What happened? Where did it happen? How bad is it? What actions need to be taken? |

How to access Event Brief
To access a hazard’s Event Brief, either select the hazard on the map and click the Event Brief quick link, or open the hazard in the Hazard panel and select the Event Brief tab at the top.

The hazard’s Event Brief should open automatically in a new tab. If it does not, first check that your browser is not blocking it from opening. If that is not the case, click the Open Event Brief button in the panel.
